Kerala NEET Counselling 2024 is a state-level process facilitating admission for students who have successfully cleared the NEET exam and aspire to enroll in medical and dental colleges in Kerala. This meticulous process is orchestrated by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
In the first step of Kerala NEET Counselling 2024, candidates undergo online registration followed by choice filling. Aspiring students must register on the official website of the CEE, Kerala, providing personal and academic details while also uploading their NEET scorecard and other relevant documents.
The state-level counselling process for 85% of available seats is managed independently by state authorities. However, MBBS and BDS admissions for the NEET All India Quota (AIQ) 15% of seats are conducted online by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
STEPS FOR SUBMITTING NEET RESULT
To submit NEET results, candidates should:
- Access the website cee.kerala.gov.in.
- Click on the link ‘KEAM 2024-Candidate Portal’ and enter KEAM-2024 application number and password.
- Click on the menu item ‘NEET Result Submission’ and provide NEET (UG)-2024 Roll Number, NEET (UG)-2024 Application Number, and NEET (UG)-2024 Date of Birth.
- Verify the scorecard for NEET (UG)-2024, ensuring correctness of candidate’s name, parents’ names, NEET (UG) result details, NEET (UG) 2024 percentile score, and All India Rank for counseling.
- If details are correct, click the ‘Verified and Submit’ button.
- Take the printout of the ‘NEET Result Submission Report’ for future use.
- Note: Candidates should not send/upload the NEET scorecard or NEET result submission report to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
Eligibility Criteria For Kerala NEET Counselling 2024, eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Entrance Exam: NEET Exam
- Nativity: Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission. OCI cardholders can apply for non-resident Indian or supernumerary seats but not for seats reserved exclusively for Indian citizens.
- Keralite: Candidates of Kerala origin are categorized as Keralite. Children of AIS Officers (Non-Keralites) allotted to the Kerala cadre are also considered Keralites but are not eligible for reservations or fee concessions.
- Non-Keralite Category I (NK I): Candidates not of Kerala origin but meeting specific conditions fall under this category.
- Non-Keralite Category II (NK II): Candidates who do not fall under ‘Keralite’ or ‘Non-Keralite Category I’ are categorized as ‘Non-Keralite Category II’ (NK II).
Special cases involve 15% of seats for MBBS & BDS courses in self-financing colleges in Kerala, set apart for candidates irrespective of domicile based on the NEET-UG 2024 rank list.
Nominees and All India Quota candidates have special provisions, and candidates must have passed a recognized board/institute with a Class 12 credential or equivalent. The qualifying test should include Biology, Chemistry, English, and Physics as core subjects. The minimum qualifying marks are 50% for the general category, 40% for SC/ST, and 45% for physically disabled candidates.
Counselling Registration Procedure
